Not Business as Usual

Founded by Future Super and Intrepid Travel, both Certified B Corps, the Not Business as Usual campaign asks employers to let employees take the day off to partake in the September 2019 Climate Strikes in Australia. Other certified B Corps heeded the call almost immediately. 

Within days, thirty six certified B Corporation companies showed leadership by investing in full page advertisements in major Australian newspapers to generate unprecedented engagement and discussions about the role of the private sector in creating positive social and environmental impact. The campaign was hugely successful in attracting media coverage all over Australia, including in the Sydney Morning Herald.

The Not Business as Usual campaign has supported several other Climate Strikes since then, and as of September 2021 have 391 businesses representing 17,680 employees pledging to support worker participation in Climate Strikes.
